Iraq-Turkey pipeline sabotage causes shutdown

Crude oil travelling through the Iraq-Turkey pipeline has been stopped due to attempts of sabotage and theft. The pipeline travels from Kirkuk, Iraq, to Ceyhan, Turkey.
This is not the first time the flow has been shut; earlier in August the pipeline was closed by a Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militant attack.
With pipeline tapping and sabotage, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has been charged approximately US$501 million since early July. From 1 July 鈥� 17 August, US$250 million has also been lost in the pipeline revenue, from the attack alone.
